Using Pine

Pine is a personal journaling service. By registering, you agree to these terms. Keep your sign-in details secure, provide accurate account information, and use Pine lawfully. Do not access another person’s account, upload malicious code, or interfere with the service.

Your writing belongs to you

You retain ownership of the content you add. You give Pine permission to store, process and display it as needed to provide the features you use. This is not a transfer of ownership. Only add content you have the right to use, and consider other people’s privacy when writing about them.

Privacy and optional AI

Our Privacy Notice explains how account and journal data are handled. AI features are optional and involve an external provider. Generated responses can be inaccurate and are not medical, mental-health, legal or other professional advice. Pine is not an emergency service.

Availability and changes

Pine is an early-version service. Features may change and interruptions or errors can occur. Do not rely on Pine as the only copy of irreplaceable information. Material changes to these terms will be communicated before they take effect where required by applicable law.

Closing your account

You can delete your account in Settings. Archiving is not deletion. Account deletion removes account data from the active application; the Privacy Notice explains retention and backups. Access may be restricted where necessary to address abuse, security risks or legal requirements.

Your legal rights

These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Third-party software and assets remain subject to their respective licences.
